Long Term Goal
During its 25 years of operation, the NNC has relocated six times. These relocations have caused a significant time loss and financial expenditure for moving, repairs and remodeling. Operational protocols and programs had to be reorganized. Relocating precipitated loss or disruption of donations and Grants from tourists and Organizations. The strong desire and goal of NNC to construct a new building for the center to achieve long-term stability and maintain self-sustaining Programs. The following Long-Term Goals require an attained permanent structure:
1) New suitable structure (adequate size, accessibility and necessary safety features)
2) Provide areas for training in the Hospitality Industry that include a Coffee Shop, Restaurant and Hostel.
3) Areas to continue established programs such as Sewing Class, Music Band Class, Computer, Special Needs Class and Life Enrichment Classes, which include Art, Yoga, English Language and Life Skills.
4) Clinic Area to examine and treat minor health issues.
A new structure will also provide the following benefits:
1) No Rent
2) Stabilize the NNC Programs and provide sustainability
3) Encourage further integration within the Community
4) Develop additional career and job opportunities
5) Provide assistance to a greater number of disabled people
